I was passing outside of this restaurant, and decided to try it. The right place at the right time. I was by myself and initially I had the impression that they threw me on a table and just waited for more people to come in, without taking order, taking their time. People started coming in, so I got somewhat impatient and ordered. Food came in fast, and was ok, not less than average, depending on what you order and your eating habits. It was tasty, fresh and authentic. I liked it. Also the other dishes I saw passing by and at the next table also looked fine. The restaurant quickly got full, and it seemed that most other clients were Italian. So I'm a bit surprised by the low rating given, I think it should deserve a bit better. Service turned out to be excellent and courteous.
Nice local trattoria with friendly service. Delicious trofie al pesto.
I honestly don't understand some of the bad reviews for this restaurant. My guess is that people are not very familiar with Genova and Ligurian cuisine. We happened to stumble upon the restaurant by chance later at night, as we were going to another restaurant just down the road that had a queue. The menu is impressive, dominated by daily ingredients and mainly fish and vegetables. We had some incredible casarecce with swordfish and more swordfish for seconds. The wine was good, the service was good, and the food absolutely excellent. The bill was very reasonable. Everything fresh and cooked properly. Give these guys your business, Covid times have been hard.
We had drinks here on the outside piazetta. Great atmosphere. The food being served to other tables looked wonderful. Very authentic Genovese. We were the only tourists there.
Piatti serviti con classe e qualità eccellente! Recommended place for tourists with good prices and high quality! Located in the ancient part of Genoa (vicoli). Very tipicalIn foto/Pic : Ravioli all'astice & spaghetti ai frutti di mare
We got here “unexpectedly” bc the restaurant we had planned was closed and WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE! This restaurant is very modest and rustic, the paper tablecloth kind; but the kindness and attentiveness of the owner/ waitress and deliciousness of every dish made our day!MUST TRY: Trofie al pesto genovese, Fish Ravioli with Seafood and Taglerini with Gorgonzola, Figs and chestnuts!!!Highly Recommend, Don’t be deceived but the looks!!!
Great place to try local food, we enjoyed it very much. We had pastas and all 3 were delicious - the one with figs and walnuts especially :) Thank you!
The most authentic italian restaurant I have ever been to! Excellent food, kind service and true Italian experience. You should know that there is no English menu and the waiters don’t speak English either, but you can look up everything on Google and everything is delicious!!
